Privacy policy

Your iPhone. Your data. Full stop.

Effective August 25, 2026 · app version 1.1

The short version: everything you write in QuickNotes stays on your phone. The app has no server, no accounts and no analytics, and collects nothing about you.

What the app stores

Every record (tasks, notes, ideas, reminders) and your appearance settings are stored only locally on the device. QuickNotes has no server, no user accounts and no sign-up. Nothing is synchronised anywhere.

What we collect

Nothing. QuickNotes does not collect, transmit or share any personal data. The app contains:

Reminder notifications

When you give a reminder a time, the app asks for permission to send notifications. Notifications are scheduled by the device itself - nothing is sent to a server and the reminder text never leaves your phone. You can revoke the permission any time in your phone settings; the app keeps working, the reminder just will not sound.

Adding to your calendar

The “Add to calendar” button creates an .ics file and hands it to the system share sheet. The app never asks for calendar access and writes to no calendar on its own - you decide where the event goes.

Backup and restore

Your backup is a .qnbak file handed to the system share sheet. Where you save it or who you send it to is entirely up to you - we have no access to it.

Device backups

Your records may be included in device backups (for example iCloud) managed by Apple according to your iOS settings. Those are governed by Apple's privacy policy and we have no access to them.

Deleting your data

Deleting the app removes all data it stored. You can also delete individual records inside the app - in Archive and Trash.

Children

The app is rated for all ages (4+). It collects no data at all, and therefore no data from children.

Changes

If this policy ever changes, the updated version will be published at this address and the effective date above will move.
